Southwest Flight Attendant Rap, Part 2

I’m sure by now, most people have seen the rap by the Southwest flight attendant David Holmes (it has 1.8 million hits on YouTube). Because the video has gone so viral, it caught the attention of the execs at Southwest and they decided to bring him on to Southwest’s 2009 Shareholders meeting! He does a “GAAP Rap” to explain Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Definitely a smart move by Southwest’s management in a time when people are dreading to hear about corporate performance results.

    Dude! This is hilarious!! Besides the fact that the most important info about a company is from its financial statements, who knows what I’m learning in my Financial Accounting class can be this fun and entertaining. Too bad it’s not a rap to help me memorize the GAAP!
