Joyland “Growing God’s Way”

This video from Joyland, Gracepoint’s children’s ministry, is for a curriculum called “Growing God’s Way,” in which we explored the metaphor of God being our Gardener and talked about the spiritual lessons we can draw from that. For this series of videos, we had fun running around the UC Berkeley campus, the Berkeley Botanical Garden, and other spots around Alameda.

In case you were wondering why there are so many seemingly unnecessary cuts in the video, it’s not because we wanted to show off transition effects…it was because Ben had a hard time memorizing his lines (just ask his peers). Thanks Ben! :)

Ben is currently a teacher in our Element Youth group.

    Haha, wow this is a blast from the past. I remember how hard it was for Ben to memorize his lines! =) Which was counteracted by his wonderful acting skill. In the end I think it all came together to make a funny but memorable and impactful series of videos. Jim Kwak’s videography was inventive too. Good stuff!
